1. Weekend classes will be held at the Muslim Association of Cleveland East (MACE) building located in Richmond Heights OH. (25900 Chardon Road) Timing
2. Classes are every Sunday (starting 9/11/11) according to the academic calender. Timings will be 11 AM - 1:45 PM.
3. Please make sure that you bring your child into the MACE building and sign them in; the habit of dropping children in “drive-by” fashion is not only unacceptable, but also unsafe. 4. Zuhr prayer jamaat will start at 1:30 PM. All parents are encouraged to stay for Zuhr prayer. 5. Please ensure that your child arrives on time. 6. There are 6 classes. Children will be placed into an appropriate level based on age and discussion with the teachers. 7. Curriculum of instruction and learning objectives for each level will be provided. 8. Cell phone use during class is a distraction. All children will be asked to turn their cell phones off.
Eligibility
8. The minimum age for a child to be enrolled will be 4 years (as of 9/15/11). This is meant to ensure that children are ready to take advantage of the reading and writing skills in the kindergarten class.
Checks should be made payable to “MACE”. Waiver of fees on the basis of economic hardship will be considered on an individual basis. Please note that cash payments will not be accepted. Volunteers10. Each week, there will be one volunteer to provide snacks, help in distribution, clean-up and stay in the building to assist as needed. A more detailed description of the volunteer's responsibilities is here. Please sign-up at least once each semester.Communication11. Please remember that this is OUR activity for OUR children.
